My story (the short version)

After 15 years of daily contemplative practice I began to realize that there were certain aspects of my life that I couldn't effectively address through yoga and meditation.

I began to explore psychology and somatics. Through my own work in somatic therapy I realized that our bodies are in constant conversation with our minds. When we learn how to reengage in that conversation we gain access to vital information and resources. We also learn how to address the the frequent (or constant) alarms that our body uses to try to get out attention when we have forgotten how to listen. These include stress, tension, anxiety, digestive issues, compulsive habits etc.

I eventually found Hakomi, a modality of 'assisted self-study' rooted in a set of foundational principles such as non-violence/non-forcing, organicity (our inherent and inevitable tendency towards self optimization), somatics (a fancy word for regarding the feelings and sensations that appear in the body as valuable information) and kindness.

This offering, to sit with others in a non-judgmental and attuned space, is the latest chapter of my journey.

The invitation is simple, come as you are and let's find out together what wants to emerge.
